Best affordable sushi place around. I recently moved to the area, and have been on the hunt for good sushi. Bizen is too expensive for me on any kind of regular basis. I tried Shiro, and while it was more affordable, it was still expensive and the tuna was chewy and tasteless. Tuna is kind of my thing. I just tried The East since it was recommended by a friend, and the sushi was amazing. I had the Volcano Roll (11.95) and the Spicy Tuna (under $5) and they were great. I actually preferred the spicy tuna.

One of the Best. The food at "East" is way above average for chinese food. They are friendly and knowledgable and use best ingredients. There are dishes that don't appear on other menu's in the area, such as "Sizzling Platters". The twin lobsters, prepared any way you like it, are 2 succulant 1 1/4 pounders and will sate any hungry diner.

Prices are reasonable (lobsters special...$19.95) and range from $7 to 15 with most in the 10$ range. It isn't Chinatown in NY but it as close as I have come to being there in the Berkshires.
